About us 

Masifundiasne Family and Children's Ministry is the programme that was started by Siphelele Bushula, on 11 June 2011 at the age of ten years .The location at that time was at his mother back yard. Starting with 30 primary age children around road 5 of Philippi East it was enjoyable because there was protection in the community.

There were also some high school learners that were helping Siphelele Bushula on tutoring .The number of children attending increased because learners were telling others about the home work club .soon the space was full. It was important for Siphelele to starting looking for big space. We found a big garage in road 8 and used the garage for four years before meeting Beautiful Gate. Then we started looking for space in ZANEMFUNDO Primary school in 2015. That is the year where organisation started to explode and we signed an MOU with ZANEMFUNDO primary school and have using that venue since every.

COMMUNITY NEED

There is a tremendous need, especially for high-risk youth in low-income neighbourhoods, for programs that provide activities and support for children during the after school hours. Children and teens in poor Neighbourhoods are struggling for direction and positive opportunities are needed to keep them safe and on-track.

Current research indicates that supervised after-school and summer programs not only keep children safe and out of trouble, they also significantly improve their academic achievement.

SOLUTION

To deal, with significantly higher than average incidences of crime, truancy, teen pregnancy, obesity, and drug use, suffers from a lack of constructive activities for its youth. Visionaries saw the potential benefits of a quality after-school and summer program. To provide a safe haven for the inner-city youth of Philippi East.

Soccer and netball which was built to make child safety available to inner-city youth in Philippi East and adheres to the First Serve Life Skills Curriculum. In the four years since its inception, the Masifundisane Family and Children's Ministry program has gained a positive reputation for providing constructive activities that contribute to reducing crime and illicit activity, increasing academic performance, and providing life skills to ensure success in school, in the community and in life.
